Winter Blanket Distribution
We thank God for making us a channel of blessing by helping us to distribute 20 high-quality blankets to the poor and needy migrated laborers. As the winter season started in North India, Chandigarh is the coolest area as it is very close to Shimla hills. Due to the COVID pandemic most of the daily wages, vegetable vendors, roadside stall keepers, and laundry persons have lost their income. So, they don’t have enough money to buy winter clothes and are struggling to run their family.
Bro Ravi has shared the condition of the people in this locality, and we started to pray for God’s provision. God answered our prayers and helped us to start our first winter blanket distribution drive for 20 most needed people. We have brought the family-size high-quality blanket, which will help the entire family to fight against the winter and it is durable for a minimum of five years.
Before the distribution, we have shared the Christmas message and the purpose of Jesus to come into this world and prayed for their salvation and God’s blessings upon them.
Mohan, working in a bicycle repairing shop for a minimum wage. He didn’t have cloth to cover himself and wore an old jacket which was not washed for many months because didn’t have any spare cloth. Our team shared the gospel, and he has joyfully received the winter gift.
Sonali, is a roadside toy and biscuit seller living with three children and an aged husband. Due to Covid people are not buying from roadside shops. So she was struggling financially. She was rejoiced and thanked the Lord for this wonderful gift and she promised to attend the church service.
Ramdeen, migrant labor doing laundry work by washing and ironing the clothes. He was living in a self-made hut with his wife and three little children and was suffering because of the severe winter. He was happy to hear about Jesus and willing to go to church.
